How to Get Organized

Find your favorite photographs. Sort through them to find the best quality photos. Horizontal photos work best on a TV screen. Make sure the photos are clear, focused and interesting to look at. In this age of smart phone photos and uploading photos online, it is important to know that many of these types of images are not suitable for the big screen. Images under 100 KB don’t typically look good. I can advise you if a photo is not usable.

Music is so important to your memory video. Music is essential to the emotion invoked while watching your loved ones on the screen. You should plan on a photo for every 8-10 seconds of music. I have a large library of music to help with song suggestions. For the video, you will need to provide your own music CD’s or I will be happy to purchase the licensed song for you.

There are different ways to organize your photo montage. Many people simply put their photos in chronological order or give segments of their montage titles that correspond to “eras” in their lives, for example: Childhood, High School, College, Marriage, Family, Work Life, Retirement, Travel, Grand kids, Pets, etc. Personally, I like to make short, one song videos of special activities or events in life. They are fun to watch and offer a quick sampling of a special family event.

While most of us now enjoy digital cameras with excellent digital images, we all have stacks of printed photos that are screaming to be saved. Those photos have started to tear and age. It is vital to capture what is left of them in a scanned digital image. My services include scanning your pictures into high quality digital files.
